Our Village
Shepherdswell Village
The Village of Shepherdswell is a scenic 20 minute footpath walk from Coxhill Camping. We have put little wooden signposts along the way to help guide you.
In the village you will find the local pub The Bell Inn (non-food), Frys Farm Shop, main line Train Station, the East Kent Heritage Railway & Cafe, a village Co-op & playground!

South Eastern Railway
We're very lucky to have a train station within a 25 minute walk of Coxhill Camping. You can get the train to Dover in just 10 minutes or 15 minutes to Canterbury.
From Dover you can reach London in just 1 hour.

We're the perfect spot to choose if you're a keen walker looking to explore the beautiful Kent Countryside with footpaths straight from the site.

Shepherdswell Village is on the North Downs Way (Via Francigena) making us a popular stopover option for backpackers taking on the trail.

Coxhill Camping makes a fantastic base to explore Kent. We have an information shed onsite packed full of local tourist information & places to visit - a 1 night stay just wont be long enough to enjoy all that this brilliant area has to offer!

Dover Castle & Secret Wartime Tunnels (7.6 miles) - Dover Castle is a medieval castle in Dover, Kent. Rising above the famous White Cliffs and renowned as 'the Key to England', Dover Castle boasts an eventful 2000-year history. It is said to be the largest Castle in England.
White Cliffs of Dover & Mrs Knott's Tearoom (8.1 miles) - Magnificent coastal site overlooking the English Channel. A 1940s style classic tearoom in the Lighthouse that sits on top of the White Cliffs, serving English Cream Teas, drinks & snacks.
